Adj Associate Professor Amy Page PhD MClinPharm GradDipBiostat GradCertHProfEd GStat GAICD FPS

Dr Page is a credentialed pharmacist who has worked in a variety of patient-facing roles across community,

hospital, medication management reviews, Aboriginal community-controlled health service and was one of

the first Australian pharmacists to work within a general practice to optimise medicines use among people

with multimorbidity and polypharmacy. She continues to work in community pharmacy and undertake

medication reviews.

She holds an academic appointment at the University of Western Australia where she is the inaugural

director of the Centre for Optimisation of Medicines.

Dr Page has held multiple policy, governance and regulatory positions nationally having been a member of

the Pharmacy Board of Australia, Council of Pharmacy Schools and worked on the NPS Prescribing

Competencies, the APC Aged Care and Medication Management Review accreditation standards and the

APC Pharmacist Prescribing standards.

Dr Page has served on the Victorian branch committee since 2017 and is the current state president. She is a

graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Shane Jackson

Shane is a pharmacist with over 20 years’ experience working in the health care sector as a practising pharmacist in clinical, consultant and academic roles. Shane’s career has been diverse, primarily focussed on improving pharmacy practice through teaching, research, policy implementation and advocacy.

Shane is a proprietor of three community pharmacies in Tasmania, and a director of Consultant Pharmacy Services, a group consisting of accredited pharmacists providing services to aged care in Tasmania. One of Shane’s community pharmacies was the first pharmacy in Australia to develop a model of integrated on-site pharmacy services comprising medication supply, quality use of medicines advice and medication review services employing innovative pharmacists.

Sara Pantzer

Sara Pantzer has had more than 25 years of senior executive experience as a Government relations/advocacy practitioner in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, having worked for two global companies. Her specialist skills are in public policy, strategic communications, government relations, and stakeholder management areas.

Within the medicines sector, Sara has been actively involved or led many initiatives to secure policy change affecting the sector.

She is an independent advisor and serves as a non-executive director on a number of boards, including Sydney Community College, Motor Neurone Disease NSW and Australia, and Transparency International Australia.

Sara has a Bachelor of Economics, Diploma of Law (SAB), and a Masters of Dispute Resolution. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Certified Chair through the Advisory Board Centre.

Her Board responsibilities include PAC Committee.

Deanna Mill

After graduating with a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honors from the University of South Australia, Deanna undertook her internship at the Southern Adelaide Local Health network working across multiple public hospitals in the network.

Deanna is a passionate early career pharmacist and was recognised as joint PSA intern pharmacist of the year in 2018 for efforts in practice-based research and improving interprofessional education in her workplace.

Upon registration Deanna broaden her experience by working in both hospital and community practice in metropolitan and rural South Australia. On a mission to enhance pharmacist professionalism, Deanna is currently completing a PhD at the University of Western Australia investigating Australian pharmacists use of professional practice resources and professional behaviour more broadly. She is also currently involved in teaching in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program at the University of South Australia and Master of Pharmacy program at the University of Western Australia.

Deanna has been involved in the state and national Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Early Career Pharmacist group for several years and was elected to the SA/NT PSA Branch Committee in 2021. Deanna now serves as the current PSA Early Career Pharmacist Board Appointed Director and her responsibilities include chair of the PSA Early Career Pharmacist Community of Special Interest and Member of the Membership, Products & Services Committee.

Mark Naunton

Michelle Lynch

Michelle Lynch BPharm, MPS, MAICD is a National Vice President and joined the Board in January 2014.

She has been a pharmacist since 1996 and has worked in hospital and community pharmacy, and as a consultant for an independent specialist consulting firm that specialises in medication management and pharmacy services.

She is the General Manager – Operations for Pharmacy at Ramsay Health Care.

Her Board responsibilities include Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee and a Member of the APF Editorial Board.

Caroline Diamantis

Caroline Diamantis is a passionate community pharmacist with over 30 years of experience in pharmacy ownership.

Shortly after completing her Bachelor of Pharmacy at Sydney University, she was able to fulfil her dream of buying her first pharmacy, where she realised the importance of differentiating pharmacists as professionals, advocating clinical pharmacy and the professional services model.

Caroline went on to become a director on the board of Blooms the Chemist, where she spent several years advocating for female pharmacy owners and gender diversity in industry leadership positions, and mentoring early career pharmacists (ECPs) into ownership roles with programs designed to support and engage.

Caroline was elected as Vice President of the NSW Pharmacy Guild in 2017. In this role she continued advocating for community pharmacy, particularly clinical pharmacy, and for pharmacists to be acknowledged and remunerated fairly for their role in primary health care and the critical difference they make to health outcomes.

Other Pharmacy Guild positions have included chairperson of the Viability sub-committee and Finance and Risk sub-committee, and alternate National Councillor.

Caroline is a passionate advocate for recognition of the profession during crisis, seeking acknowledgement and financial support from the NSW government. She is committed to addressing workforce issues, including mentorship to ECPs and support and advocacy for appropriate pharmacist salaries, and determined to achieve full scope of clinical practice.

Her Board responsibilities include committee member of PAC.

Benjamin Marchant

Benjamin is currently the Director of Pharmacy at Mildura Base Public Hospital. Benjamin has worked in multiple practice settings in his career to date, including community and hospital pharmacy and as an accredited pharmacist in both metropolitan and rural settings. Benjamin is an accredited immuniser and was the first Victorian pharmacist to administer a vaccine to the public in 2016.

Benjamin has been a member of the Victorian branch committee of PSA since 2010 and has held roles of Vice-President and Branch President. He holds multiple governance and clinical committee positions within Mildura Base Public Hospital. Benjamin has been a member of the Australian Pharmacy Council Accreditation Committee. Benjamin was also a key member of the Expert Advisory Group to DHS on the SafeScript project.

His Board responsibilities include Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Andrew Sluggett

Andrew is a longstanding member of PSA (SA/NT) Branch Committee, volunteering for more than 10 years but also contributing as Co-vice president since 2014.

Andrew is Chief Pharmacist and General Manager of CPIE Pharmacy Services, an innovative pharmacy organisation comprising a community pharmacy, private hospital pharmacy and an aseptic compounding facility. In recognition of Andrew’s contribution and commitment to advancing the practice of pharmacy, he received the PSA (SA/NT) Pharmacist of the Year Award in 2014.

Andrew completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Pharmacology in 2001, followed by a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2004. He completed his intern year at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and was then a clinical/manufacturing pharmacist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Andrew joined CPIE Pharmacy Services in 2007. He leads this diverse and innovative pharmacy organisation to deliver a range of pharmacy services supporting transition of patients from hospital back to the community.

He contributes to several private hospital governance committees, manufacturing and compounding working groups. Andrew is an Adjunct Lecturer with the UniSA Pharmacy School and Flinders University, providing internship and placement opportunities for undergraduate pharmacy students.

His Board responsibilities include committee member of Membership, Products and Services.

Warwick Plunkett

Warwick Plunkett (AM) BPharm, FPS, AFACP, MAICD has been a Board member since July 2007, including National President for 1996 &1997 and 2008–11.

He has been a pharmacist since 1975.
